I am just so thrilled with how this painting turned out! I took an oil painting class this semester and I decided to paint a white tiger for my final project since we were allowed to paint whatever we wanted. This was only my 6th ever painting that I've done, and I'm very proud it He was inspired by a photograph by Ron Kimball and altered a quite a bit to my own taste. I'd love some feedback on this, and hope to have prints available in poster size soon!
It's a really amazing painting, even being your 6th it looks that you have more practice on this !!! It's so beautiful and expressive!!! You have the talent!!!!!

Thank you! All it took was a patient teacher who believed in me Having a small class really helped too! This took about 2 1/2 weeks or 5 classes to finish up. I can't wait to paint some horses and ponies next
Yeah, it's really wonderful when your teacher believes in you... it took me 1 semester to make my teacher completely sure that I want to be an artist and now he's always cheering me up! You made it really quick!!!! I'm so envious!!!
I can't wait to see your horses and ponies!!! Keep the amazing job!!

Wow, what a brilliant sense of weight and fluffiness! Coming from someone with absolutely NO skill with paints, I'm very impressed indeed! (Though whether that's actually helpful, I'm not sure, considering...)
But I'll tell you what really gets me is the detail on the ground around him -- that gorgeously porous rock and the thick leafy fronds. Jolly good!
